If asked, I would wager most people have heard of the existence of the G-spot. Whether you have found this orgasm inducing spot or not, culturally it’s been nearly an inescapable topic. It’s everywhere: jokes in sitcoms, blogs directing you where to find it, and a myriad of special toys made just for stimulating that special spot. However if you ask the majority of people about the “A-spot”, most of them will stare back at you blankly, wondering if that was maybe a new wave band back in the 80’s. Well it wasn’t, and the A-spot does exist (although still hotly debated by those in the gynecological field), and it could possibly give you the blended orgasm of your dreams.
The A-spot orgasm is also referred to as a “cervical orgasm”. That’s right, the same cervix that screams on occasion when it gets bumped a little too zealously by a toy, fingers, fists, or a penis- is also waiting to give you an incredible amount of pleasure. Which sounds wonderful, so how exactly do you find the A-spot?
The Anterior Fornix, or the A-spot makes it’s home past the G-spot, deep in the back of the vagina and nestled right next to the cervix. To further elaborate: It is a patch of sensitive tissue that is usually about 4-6 inches deep, against the top of the vaginal wall between the cervix and the bladder (the direction of the belly button). Before you go looking for your new pleasure zone, I would recommend you are already in a state of arousal. Having a clitoral orgasm first makes it far easier to have a G-spot, or A-spot orgasm. This also makes it less challenging to locate. When you are aroused your cervix lifts up slightly, and makes it far easier to feel around comfortably. When you go several inches past your G-spot, and reach the area where your A-spot is located you may feel pressure, the urge to pee, fullness, or even a slight discomfort upon initially finding it (this is also similar to the G-spot). There will typically be a noticeable increase in the body’s natural lubrication once the A-spot is being effectively stimulated. Every woman experiences this differently, pay attention to your body. Much like your clitoris, the way you reach orgasm with your A-spot will vary from person to person. Finding what you or your partner may like will be half the fun.
You certainly don’t need anything fancy to begin your exploration for the A-spot. However, due to the varying depth that goes along with each person’s anatomy (everyone is different/everyone is awesome) I would recommend a toy like Uberrime - The Senos Platinum Silicone Dildo or Blush's Real Nude Helio Silicone Suction Cup Dildo for help finding/stimulating your A spot vs your fingers. Especially if you or your partner are A-spot novices. While some of these toys may have been designed for your G-spot, they are just as effective for your A-spot, and even P-spot (but that’s another article) if they are the appropriate length to reach where yours is located. The key here is not to get discouraged, take your time, and most of all… use lots and lots of lube.
Among the excited cheers for a new pleasure zone to play with, I can also hear- and sympathize with the collective sighs from the women around the world who still haven’t found their G-spots. This may seem like yet another allusive orgasm to try to achieve, but I suggest letting it be a fun exploration of your body. Perhaps with your anatomy, the A-spot is easier to find than your G-spot was. Maybe in trying to find your A-spot, you stumble upon your G-spot instead! The possibilities are fun, and should be tried over, and over, and over again. You know, for science.
